About Borner’s Barber College

at Borner’s BARBER COLLEGE we strive to create barbers that thrive in not only the skill of barbering but also, the aspect of business it takes to succeed in this industry.

The History of Borner’s Barber College:

Borner’s Barber College, formerly known as American Barber College, was purchased in 1990 by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Velma Borner. In 1995, the school officially moved to Western Ave in Los Angeles, CA. In November of 2006, the LA campus unfortunately suffered a fire causing its relocation to where it currently remains. Several years later in 2019, Borner’s Barber College Pasadena was opened in Pasadena,CA.

Mr. Arthur Borner passed away in July of 2023. Borner’s Barber College is now co-owned by Joseph Brumfield and Velma Borner, with the daily operations of both colleges run by Joseph Brumfield.
